Crawley Wasps are thrilled to reveal their Pride kit, to be worn exclusively in the Women’s FA Cup this season. Crawley-based Rentokil Initial is the main sponsor of Wasps and have worked in conjunction to help create this limited-edition kit which, will debut in person at Crawley Pride 2022. The first thirty Pride shirts will be for sale at the event on the Rentokil Initial stand, with all proceeds being donated to Crawley LGBTQU+ whilst Foudy’s will stock the shirt online.
The striking design is already a big favourite with the players:
“What better way to play in the FA Cup then with a fresh new kit that also celebrates the LGBTQU+ community too. I’ve been at Crawley nearly four years and this is definitely favourite kit so far and we look forward wearing it with pride.” Wasps Forward Flo Jackson says.
Midfielder Tash Stephens exclaims "As players we always appreciate a nice kit, and this is one of the favourites I’ve ever worn. It's the best in the league. But what makes it even more special for us is the message behind it and standing for the LGBTQU+ community - we’ll definitely being wearing it with pride."
Jack Ayles, Chairman of Crawley Wasps FC, says
“The kit is a symbol of the inclusivity we pride ourselves on at the club and we were so excited when Helen at Foudy’s said she loved it, as it’s something we’ve been working on for a while. We are pleased Foudy’s will be stocking the shirt online and can’t wait to see their Pride collection grow. We love Helen’s enthusiasm for community and lower league football along with encouraging clubs to get their kits online. It’s suits us down to a tee so we’re happy to be working alongside the team there. Now all we have to do is have a good FA Cup run to show the kit off!”
Foudy’s says, "this kit has sparked something in us at Foudys. At our very core we're just massive football shirt fans who want to support accessibility to the best of the best in world football shirts. This relationship seems like a great opportunity to spotlight the best pride kits worldwide so THANK YOU Crawley Wasps!"
