Can I apply the patch at home?
Yes, but home application is done at your own risk. Applying heat directly to clothing can cause damage, particularly to delicate, synthetic, printed or heat-sensitive fabrics.
For the safest and most durable result, we recommend having your patch professionally applied by our store or a local T-shirt printing company.

Can applying the patch damage my shirt?
Yes. In some cases, the heat required to apply the patch may damage the garment. This can include scorching, discolouration, melting, staining, fabric distortion or damage to existing prints or finishes.
Some garments may be more prone to damage than others, particularly unofficial, non-standard, delicate, synthetic or heat-sensitive garments, as the fabric composition and manufacturing process can vary.
We cannot guarantee that every garment will withstand the heat required for application. Please check the garment's care label and suitability for heat before applying the patch.
What if I'm unsure whether my shirt is suitable?
Don't risk damaging your shirt. Check the garment's care label and manufacturer's instructions before applying heat.
If you're unsure whether your shirt is suitable, we recommend bringing it into our store so we can check the garment for you and advise on the best way to apply the patch.
Where possible, we can apply the patch for you in store, helping to reduce the risk of damage and ensuring the best possible finish.
What happens if the patch starts to peel?
Do not immediately increase the temperature of the iron. Place the protective layer back over the patch and apply medium heat with firm, even pressure for a further short period.
If the patch continues to lift, stop and seek professional application rather than continuing to apply heat.
Can I wash the shirt straight away?
No. Allow the patch to cool completely and fully set before washing. For best results, we recommend waiting until the patch has completely cooled before handling or washing the shirt.
How do I take care of my jersey?
- Make your first wash a cold wash (good for your shirt & good for the environment!)... or hand wash if you want to be super safe!
- When you wash a football shirt, turn it inside out first to avoid any peeling.
- Never put a stripey number in a coloured wash (I'm looking at all those Juventus and Atletico Madrid fans out there!)
- Do not tumble dry footie shirts!
How to Apply Your Patch
We recommend bringing your shirt to be printed in person at our store or a local T-shirt printing company in your area. If you prefer to apply the patch at home, please follow the instructions below:
1. Lay your shirt flat
Place your shirt flat on an ironing board or another clean, heat-resistant surface. Smooth out any wrinkles.
2. Set your iron to medium heat
Set your iron to medium heat (2 dots) and make sure the steam setting is turned OFF.
3. Position the patch
Place the patch on the shirt in your desired position. Make sure it is straight and correctly positioned before applying heat.
4. Cover the patch
Place a piece of parchment paper or a clean, white cotton tea towel over the patch. This protects the patch from direct contact with the iron.
5. Press firmly
Place the iron firmly on top of the protective layer and patch. Apply even pressure without moving the patch.
6. Apply heat for 20–30 seconds
Move the iron slowly in small circular motions over the entire patch for approximately 20–30 seconds. Make sure you heat all areas, including the edges.
7. Check the edges
Carefully check the edges of the patch once you've finished ironing. If any edges are lifting, place the protective layer back over the patch and apply heat and pressure again until the edges are securely attached.
8. Allow to cool completely
Leave the patch to cool completely before wearing or washing the shirt. Avoid pulling, stretching or disturbing the patch while it is cooling.
