Five Cities. Five Teams. One Global NWSL 2026 Launch.
Five Cities. Five Teams. One Global NWSL 2026 Launch.
To celebrate the launch of the NWSL 2026 shirts, we wanted to do more than just drop product photos. We wanted to tell a story, one that reflects how the women’s game connects cities, cultures and communities across the world.
So we took five NWSL teams and paired them with five European cities.
Then we handed the shirts to five local photographers and asked them to interpret that connection through their own lens.
The Teams
For this project, we selected five clubs that represent both the energy and evolution of the league:
- Gotham
- Angel City
- Bay FC
- Denver Summit
- Boston Legacy
Three established fan favourites. Two exciting new expansion sides. All shaping the next chapter of the NWSL.

The Pairings
Each team was matched with a European city that shares something deeper. Whether that’s architectural parallels, coastal identity, creative culture, urban edge, or natural landscape.
Some connections are bold and obvious. Others are subtle and atmospheric. But every pairing reflects the shared character between place and club.
Because football culture doesn’t exist in isolation, it mirrors the cities that shape it.
The Creative Brief
We sent each 2026 shirt to a local photographer in their paired European city.
The brief was simple:
Capture the shirt.
Capture the city.
Capture the connection.
No studio backdrops. No generic product shots. Just authentic storytelling rooted in place.
The result is a series of images that feel lived-in, expressive and local. Celebrating both the identity of the NWSL clubs and the European cities they’ve been creatively linked with.
Why We Did It
The NWSL continues to grow at pace. The league’s expansion, the calibre of talent, and the global fanbase all point to one thing: women’s football is not confined to one country.
At Foudys, we see that every day. Support for the NWSL is thriving across Europe, and this campaign is our way of celebrating that shared energy.
This isn’t just a kit launch.
It’s a conversation between cities.
Follow the Series
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be rolling out each collaboration. Profiling our photographers, sharing the stories behind the shoots, and revealing the creative connections between each team and city.
Five cities.
Five photographers.
Five NWSL shirts.
All connected through the global game.
Follow along on Foudys.com and across our social channels as we bring the full project to life.
